In a recent special forecast, the European Unions executive arm stated that Poland would escape the recession which has affected other countries in the Euro Zone. As at July 2009, Poland was one of the few world economies still growing and where wealth is continuing to grow.
'' The papers in Poland, as everywhere in the world, have talked about plummeting property prices. But unlike the West they have had to look harder to find them. There are some neighborhoods where values have decreased or some types that are proving harder to shift, but overall prices have remained fairly static.''
